Hopefully you saw our announcement that Lambeth have effectively withdrawn their support for the Hub, without any explanation or dialogue, which means that we will be closing in December unless the community lends their support. The Hub has steadily grown, driven by a locally employed team, complements the library, and keeps the building in community use. Here’s how you can support us:
- Write to our councillors, including the Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities who has made it clear he does not support the Hub.
- Sign our petition which we will hand to Lambeth in mid-October.
- Forward this page to your friends and neighbours in the community who value the library and building and want to see it being used more.
Thank you for the amazing response we’ve had so far; those who recognise the success, positivity and vision we’ve brought to a difficult mandate, a partnership mandate Lambeth themselves invited us to deliver on.
For those that want more detail or have further questions we have compiled an FAQ here.
