Carnegie Library Hub

Welcome to Carnegie Library Hub from the Team and Trustees

The Carnegie Library Hub is an outstanding heritage building that serves the local community. Beyond the central library run by Lambeth Council, there’s a Active Lambeth Gym in the basement, 4 beautiful function rooms available for hire, a community gardening scheme and, soon, a cafe.

The Hub is a thriving sustainable centre of local activity attractive to the whole community for developing employment opportunities, learning, fitness and wellbeing, cultural and social activity. The fabric of the building will be protected and enhanced and its history and legacy both protected and celebrated.

We also want the building to respond to 21st Century uses whilst continuing to promote the beautiful Edwardian heritage.

Carnegie Community Trust (CCT) was set up in 2015 to protect the the building by further encouraging community use.

We are responsible for the room hire and the gardens.

Mission

Preserve our historic local library and hub as a welcoming place for community activity.
