Join Dan Breakwell for Qigong - Thursday mornings, 8.30-9.30am. About Dan: "I have been teaching qigong, yoga and mindfulness for over a decade, having a particular passion for qigong, traditional chinese medicine, five element theory and the daoist principles that underpin the practice. Qigong has been a pillar of support for me through varying mental and physical hurdles in life, so I truly hope you also discover a more resilient and embodied sense of self through this nourishing practice." QIGONG: ‘Qi’ (“chi”) means life energy and ‘Gong’ (“gung”) means to cultivate, therefore the practice of qigong is the practice of cultivating one’s own life energy. Qigong is one of several pillars of Chinese Medicine, and is the basis for all Chinese martial arts. In Daoism and Buddhism, qigong is the primary means of exercise, along with regulating the breath and calming the ‘heart-mind’. The practice of qigong consists of blending active/ dynamic movements with breathing, visualisation and meditation techniques to promote strength, flexibility and a healthier flow of qi throughout the body. INVESTMENT: £12 per class. £40 for 4 consecutive weeks. BOOKINGS: dbreakyoga@gmail.com Socials/ content www.danbreakwell.com Youtube: @danbreakwellyoga Instagram: dan_breakwell |
