We’re excited to be taking part in this year’s Herne Hill Free Film Festival and look forward to showing award winning film, The Holdovers. Directed by Alexander Payne, set in 1970 about boarding school students who are made to ‘holdover’ during the Christmas break due to poor performance or lack of anywhere to go.
The Holdovers is a contemporary film with its blended charm, humour, and unexpected emotional depths. Bringing a poignant explanation of connection and redemption in the backdrop of an era marked by change and upheaval. It celebrates making a difference in somebody else’s life and to embrace new journeys, free from constraints.
All films are free – MAKES IT INCLUSIVE, DONATIONS MAKE IT HAPPEN
Please donate if possible as the Herne Hill Free Film Festival will be supporting again the Norwood & Brixton Food Bank, helping to raise awareness for this most worthy of local causes. Any spare change collected at each of our screenings would be greatly appreciated and donated* to help this wonderful charity continue the admirable work.
