Summer round up

With our regular classes taking a break, there’s been some different things going on at Carnegie! We’ve had the refugee support council, childrens parties (including a VIP guest, Queen Elsa herself!), and the Magical Paper Theatre’s Pinnoccio. We’ve had life drawing, prayer and church groups, and councillor Jim Dickson’s drop in surgeries. The FOC have had their library book group and celebrated their 116th birthday! We’ve had lots of relaxation sessions on offer with yoga retreats and gong baths. The end of August was marked by one of our teams’ big birthdays, which saw friends and family from all over, and plenty of Carnegie regulars, celebrating in style.

We’ve just about managed to keep cool in the heat at Carnegie and look forward to another month ahead. Get in touch with any ideas you may have for events or workshops – our beautiful rooms are perfect for – almost – everything!

Date for your diary: 08.10.2022, we’re having a local maker’s market! 11am-4pm, more details coming soon. We will be looking for traders and volunteers for the event.
