Spring Gong Bath at the hub on Thursday 24 April

Sound baths have been used in various forms for thousands of years as a way to support wellbeing and help the body and mind unwind. The frequencies and vibrations from instruments like gongs gently stimulate the system, encouraging a return to a more balanced, harmonious state.

This is largely due to the way sound interacts with the nervous system. The vibrations help activate the parasympathetic nervous system—our natural “rest and restore” mode. As brainwaves slow down, we often enter a dreamlike, meditative state where it becomes easier to let go, relax, and reconnect with ourselves.

The benefits of a gong bath can include deep relaxation, reduced stress levels, and a noticeable lift in mood.

What to bring:

  • A yoga mat (or something similar to lie on)

  • A blanket

  • A small pillow

  • Comfortable, warm clothing and socks

  • An eye mask (optional, but often helpful)

A few important notes:

This session is for adults only—thank you for understanding.

Gong baths aren’t suitable for everyone. If you experience epilepsy, have certain heart conditions, brain injuries, or are in the first trimester of pregnancy, this may not be the right setting for you.

If you experience tinnitus, it’s best to set up a little further from the gong. You might also want to bring a scarf to place near your ears or use earplugs to soften the sound.

Please arrive on time. Doors open at 19:35, and we’ll begin promptly at 19:45. To respect the quiet, meditative start of the session, we’re unable to allow entry once things begin. Unfortunately, we can’t offer refunds for late arrivals or missed sessions.

If you’re feeling unwell and can’t attend, please get in touch.
