We were thrilled to welcome the Raise the Roof Choir at the Hub last Saturday for a special International Women’s Day celebration. The turnout was amazing, and the choir’s gloriously eclectic harmony singing filled the space with energy and joy.
Raise the Roof Choir has been our resident community choir since the Carnegie Library Hub started, and they sing here every Thursday which has been great for local residents who come for all the mood boosting and health benefits of singing together.
Choral composer, Kirsty Martin designs additional seasonal Saturday Sessions and special celebrations. Everyone is welcome – there are no auditions and all music is taught by ear. Stay tuned for details of more seasonal Saturday singing workshops – these are always popular with regular choir goers as well as families and those who join for a fun morning of concentrated singing and performing!
You can join Raise the Roof for the term, or for any number of drop in sessions you’d like on Thursday evenings 7pm – 9pm
