Restoration works continue!

restoration work at carnegie library

As you can see the Carnegie Library building is undergoing extensive restoration, gratefully co-ordinated by Lambeth Council; vital repairs are being made to the roof and windows, the beautiful parquet floors are being sanded and varnished throughout the building, and the interiors painted and decorated.

The main entrance to the library will be closed for 3 weeks from Wednesday 19 April, and the library will have to close during this time. However regular classes will be continuing with access through the side entrance on Ferndene Road.  So those who attend any of the many classes and groups organised by the Carnegie Library Hub form drama, dance, yoga, life drawing, karate will be able to carry on as usual.

We will keep you updated on news and progress via our Community Library Hub website and social media.
