Herne Hill Ward Councillors Surgery on 4th Tuesday of every Month

Our Herne Hill and Loughborough Junction ward councillors run a surgery for all constituents at the Carnegie Library Hub on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 6 – 7pm. No appointment needed. This week Cllr Deepak Sardiwal was joined by Cllr Pauline George due to the increase in cases, largely as a result of Lambeth’s proposed merging of St Saviour’s Primary school with St John’s Primary, Angell Town.

Lambeth is struggling with falling school numbers. To maintain a quality and financially viable education for Lambeth’s children, the council is consulting on the issue. Read the consultation here.  Sadly, St Saviour’s school, a popular local Church of England primary school, is under threat. Many people locally – parents, teachers and the parish council – are questioning why this successful neighbourhood school needs to merge with St John’s Angell Town.  Read all the details of the campaign to Save St Saviour’s here.
