We have a creative writing course starting at the hub from 9 September to 14 October. This course is perfect for beginners and writers looking for a fresh injection of inspiration, and also those looking to write short stories.
In a warm, fun and inspiring environment, you will learn the nuts and bolts of the creative process and the necessary key ingredients –
character, structure, discipline, plot, theme, drama, the creation of ideas, point of view, location, editing, rewrites, delivery, and the
all-important strong, dramatic and satisfying conclusion that will leave your readers wanting more.
From the get-go, you will begin to produce work, sharing it with your fellow students to build your confidence, critiquing skills and the necessary thick-skin all writers must have. And over the six weeks, you will develop a writer’s work ethic and discipline to make your
goals happen, seeing remarkable results each day.
The courses are led by writer Dominic Canty and classes take place every Thursday, 7-9pm, from 9 September to 14 October. The course price is £129 / £109 Concessions (senior citizens). For more information and to book, click here.
If you can’t make the September/October course, Dominic will be running a second course from 21 October to 2 December. Find out more here.
