Carnegie Community Trust is developing the Community Hub in the Carnegie Library building. The Hub currently includes the Enterprise Centre or workspaces on the first floor, plus bookings for events, exhibitions, classes and meetings in the four rooms on the ground floor. Three of these rooms can be accessed without entering the main library area.
During the Covid19 Pandemic restrictions the Library has been operating in the foyer of the main entrance plus pre booked, limited access to computers. At the time of writing however, March 2021, the Library is fully closed.
If you are considering hiring a Community Hub room during the Pandemic restrictions, the usual booking arrangements apply but please talk to us about availability bearing in mind that at times of severe lockdown we are unable to hire out any rooms.
Any use of rooms at Carnegie during the Covid19 Pandemic restrictions is subject to approval by Lambeth Public Health Panel of a full Covid19 Risk Assessment. Therefore, if you wish to book a room for a single event or a series of events at Carnegie, we will ask you to complete with us the Risk Assessment on a standard form. Small meetings, limited exhibitions and carefully planned exercise classes of various kinds may be possible during low/medium level restrictions. We are planning to bring back activities through April and May. We welcome enquiries for bookings of all types going forward
Here are the basic principles for permitted use of the building at this time:
- Sanitised hand-wash is available in all rooms – please use this regularly
- Please maintain 2 metres distance at all times
- Please wear a face mask when entering and moving around the building
We will provide regular updates of the Covid19 position at the Community Hub.
Thank you for your support and patience.
